The Musical Chairs “Grand Finale” event will be held on Sunday, March 5 from 5 to 7 pm at the Durham Arts Council, 120 Morris Street. The finished chairs will be judged, prizes will be awarded, and the chairs will be auctioned. Buffet-style hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and other beverages will be served. Advance tickets are $25 per person. Tickets at the door on the day of the event will be $30 per person. Tickets may be ordered online in advance.

Following the auction, the chairs will be exhibited at the May 5th concert of the Durham Medical Orchestra in Baldwin Auditorium, Duke University East Campus, and at the Cameron Gallery at The Scrap Exchange at a date to be announced.

The Scrap Exchange will open its “Make ‘N Take” room to participating artists, who can avail themselves of the materials and tools there as they create their musical chairs, as well as decorate auction paddles for use at the March 5th “Grand Finale” event. Families are also invited to play the game musical chairs with music provided by musicians from the Durham Medical Orchestra, and to create auction paddles for use at the Grand Finale. Snacks and drinks will be available. Admission is $5 per person.
